Arrive
Beijing,
the capital of the People's Republic of China.
Meet your guide upon arrival and transfer to your comfortable hotel.

2 Beijing |
Begin
the day with a visit to Tiananmen Square, the world's largest.
Then, move on to the Forbidden City, which symbolizes the imperial
and traditional China. After lunch, go to visit the enchanting
Summer Palace, one of China's largest and best-preserved imperial
gardens. A Peking Duck banquet concludes your first full day
activities in China.

3 Beijing |
Today's
highlight is your visit to the Great Wall, symbol of Chinese
civilization. In the afternoon go to the Temple of Heaven and
prepare to be impressed by the beautiful structure of the Hall of

4 Beijing-Qufu |
Fly
to Jinan, capital of Shandong Province. Stop by the famous Baotu Spring
in the city. Travel to Qufu on express highway via the city
of Tai'an and stop by the impressive Temple of Mt. Tai on your
way. Check in Hotel.

5 Qufu |
Qufu
is the hometown of Confucius ("Kongzi" in Chinese). Here
you will have the opportunity to explore its great heritage in the
Confucius Temple and the Confucius Forest. (B-L) |

6 Qufu-Nanjing |
Visit the temple dedicated to Yanhui, Confucius' greatest disciple,
who is sometimes called "The Sage Returned". Then stop by
Zhou Miao, a temple dedicated to a Zhou Dynasty duke. Take an afternoon
train ride to Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu Province and arrive
in the evening. Check in Hotel.

7 Nanjing |
Take
an excursion to Yangzhou to tour the beautiful Slim West Lake
area and the elegant Heyuan Garden. Back to Nanjing in the afternoon
and stop by Fuzi Miao (Confucius Temple), which was built in
1034. Tonight's dinner is on your own. (B-L) |

8 Nanjing-Wuxi |
After
breakfast at your hotel,
go to the historic Tianchao Palace and Xuyuan Garden for a
visit. Travel to Wuxi by motor coach, and upon arrival take a leisure
cruise on the vast Lake Tai, which is liberally sprinkled with
islands and surrounded by wooded hills. Stay at Hotel

9 Wuxi-Suzhou |
Explore
the traditional Jichang garden and Liyuan garden. In the afternoon,
travel to Suzhou by boat on the ancient Grand Canal. You can
see local people's life up and close along the riverbanks. Check in
Hotel . After a short
rest, tour the intricate Wangshi Garden before a vegetarian
dinner at Gongdelin Restaurant. (B-L-D) |

10 Suzhou |
Today's
exploration focuses on the classical gardens in Suzhou.
You will stroll in Canglang Ting (Pavilion), Lion's Grove,
the famous Zhuozheng Garden and Liuyuan Garden. You
will also stop by the embroidery factory to see workers create beautiful

11 Suzhou-Hangzhou |
Drive
to Hangzhou
and pass through the fertile "land of fish and rice". Stop
by Wuzhen to explore this old water town with crisscrossing canals
and rivers. Visit the Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine
upon arrival in Hangzhou.

12 Hangzhou |
Over
the years, Hangzhou
has been known for the beauty and tranquility of its West Lake.
The nearby Huagang Park and Bonsai Garden are also very
interesting. Stop by Lingyin Temple and the lush tea bushes

13 Hangzhou-Shanghai |
Take
a train ride to wonderful Shanghai.
Visit the Bund and Yuyuan Garden. A fabulous acrobatic
show concludes your first day in Shanghai.

Visit
Shanghai Museum, a leading attraction since it opened in 1994.
Also wander around the former French Concession to see how local people
spend their leisure time. Afternoon is free for your own exploration.
You are invited to a farewell dinner featuring Shanghai
