Itinerary :
Day01 Beijing-Simatai-Jinshanling
In the morning, pick up from your hotel, and transfer to Simatai Great Wall, located 120km northeast from Beijing. Simatai Great Wall stretches
about five kilometers (three miles) from the Wangjinglou Tower in the east and connects to the Jinshanling Great Wall in the west. Constructed
under the supervision of Qi Jiguang, a famous general in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it is the only part of the Great Walls that still has the
original appearance of the Ming Dynasty. Hike up steep steps straight up on a mountain range and enjoy some spectacular views of the Great Wall
winding on the surrounding mountains. Have a picnic on the wall (the food is bought by yourself). Go on trekking to Jinshanling Great Wall.
Jinshanling Great Wall starts from Wangjinglou Tower in the east and ends at Longyukou in the west and stretches about 10 kilometers (six
miles). Enjoy the breath-taking sun-setting view on the Mountain. Stay overnight in guesthouse at the foot of the Great Wall. (Dinner)
Day02 Jinshanling-Gubeikou-Beijing
Get up in early morning, and climb up to the Great Wall to watch the sunrise. After breakfast, start today’s trekking west towards General Tower in
Gubeikou. The first section of the wall was built during the Northern Qi Dynasty (550 - 557). Centuries later, General Xuda ordered to rebuild it in
the early Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). The defensive capability of the wall was enhanced by adding more stone. On the way, you will pass a military
area where you have to trek a short distance country road away from the wall. Have a lunch in local countryside restaurant. Drive back to Beijing in
the afternoon. TOUR ENDS! (Breakfast, Lunch)
