Day 1/Arrive in Shanghai
Arrive in Shanghai, known as "Paris in the East". Meet your guide at the airport and transfer to the hotel. (D)
Day 2/Shanghai
Visit the Bund in the morning, at the west shore of the Huangpu River, the splendid row of early 20th century Europe buildings remains the quintessential Shanghai sight. Pay a visit to Yuyuan Garden, a well-restored Suzhou-style garden, which was specially built for Pan's parents as a place to enjoy themselves a tranquil and happy time in their old age. The pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds and cloisters are unique characteristic. And also take a walk through Chenghuangmiao (known as Yuyuan Garden Market) built in the fifteenth century during the Ming Dynasty. It filled with antique markets and specialty stores. Then, visit Jade Buddha Temple, built in 1882 to keep two jade Buddha statues which had been brought from Burma by a monk named Huigen. The two precious jade Buddha statues, one sitting Buddha and one Recumbent Buddha, are carved with whole white jade. Enjoy a fabulous Acrobatic Show in the evening. (B,L,D)
Day 3/Shanghai
Visit EXPO 2010 site. In 2010, Shanghai will host the biggest World Expo in the history of world expositions. Over 170 nations and at least 40 international organizations are expected to take part. By dedicating a 5.28-square-kilometer area at the core of the city to exhibitions, events and forums on the Expo theme, “Better City, Better Life”, Shanghai hopes to build a powerful and lasting pilot example of sustainable and harmonious urban living. Day 4/Shanghai
Visit EXPO 2010 site. During the 184-day expo, tens of millions of visitors will inspect and appreciate the urban object images and scientific and technological elements in the huge exhibition area, stroll among the most advanced urban civilization on earth, and walk amidst the magnificent prospects of the present and future urban life. It will be not only a trip for people to look forward to, but also a grand assembly for human beings to create a wonderful future. (B)
Day 5/Shanghai-Guiyang
Fly to Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou Province. Take 2.5 hours' coach to Kaili along the scenic mountain expressway. Visit to the Hongfu Temple, which is originally built in 1667, the largest temple of Zen Buddhism in Guizhou Province. Then pay a visit to Jiaxiu Tower, lying in water, connected by the Fuyu Bridge, it is a magnificent 3-level pavilion about 20 meters high. (B,L,D)
Day 6/Guiyang-Anshun-Guiyang 200km/200km
Drive to explore the largest waterfall in China – Huangguoshu Waterfall, 81 meters wide and 74 meters in height. In flood season, the huge stream of pouring water makes the precipitous cliffs trembling. En route, stop at Tianlong to visit a local Laohan Village best known for their Ground Opera or Dixi. The operas recreate ancient Chinese tales from the Three Kingdoms (220-265) period and Tang (618-907) dynasties. The performers will put wooden mask on their forehead to ensure their voice could be heard by the audience. Drive back to Guiyang. (B,L,D)
Day 7/Guiyang-Kaili 200km+180km (Kaili-Qingman, Boji, Shiqiao)
In the morning drive to Kaili (about 200km), Kaili is the capital of Miao and Dong Minority Autonomous region and the central tourist city in the southeast. Pay a visit to the Kaili Museum, where you can have a general understanding and basic knowledge of Miao and Dong people. Then, pay a visit to Qingman Miao Village and Shiqiao Miao Village to see their traditional way of making paper from mulberry tree. Overnight in Kaili. (B,L,D)
Day 8/Kaili-Rongjiang 200km
A short drive from Kaili along the Bala River will take you to the village of Langde, a real gem with traditional wooden houses and waterwheels. Then, drive to Rongjiang via Leigong Mountain to view the gorgeous mountain scenery of terraced fields, visit Datang Short-skirt Miao Village, the villager are well known for their traditional dance performances, with an aquatic granary as well as the Miao version of the miniskirt. Overnight in Rongjiang. (B,L,D)
Day 9/Rongjiang-Zhaoxing 230km
We well take about 2.5 hours drive to the Basha Miao Village, a small village with very little sings of modern influence, both men and women can be seen in traditional costumes, wearing their hair long. Then drive about 3-hour to Zhaoxing, one of the largest Dong villages in the region, with more than 700 households and a population of 4000. (B,L,D)
Day10/Zhaoxing-Sanjiang 160km
After breakfast, continue sightseeing in Zhaoxing. Drive to Sanjiang, pay a visit to Tang’an Dong Village on the way, which is renowned as the “most primitive Dong Village” and the “first ecological museum of Dong people” in China. Then, pay a visit to the Chengyang Fengyu Bridge (Wind and Rain Bridge, the largest Fengyu Bridge in the region), which are pavilions for sheltering people during bad weather, it owns 5 drum towers which symbolizes 5 different family clans. Day11/Sanjiang-Longsheng 60km
Drive to Longsheng, the gathering land for the minorities, such as Yao, Dong, Zhuang and Miao. The villages’ backs face the hills and their fronts face the river. Pay a visit to the Rice Terrace, there are layers on layers of terraces, high and low, some of the terraces look like great chains, other look like ribbons, they wind from the foot to the top of the hill. Walk up to the guesthouse for overnight. (B,L,D)
Day12/Longsheng-Guilin 140km
Transfer to Guilin, the town is most famous for the “Four Perfections”, namely verdant hills, emerald-green rivers, unusual caves and elegant stones. The beauty of the Li River and the mystical various shapes of limestone mountains have been a true inspiration of one’s imagination, and thus many beautiful stories were told. Pay a visit to Fubo Hill, well known as the wonderland on wave with its exquisite peak rising high and its foot half in water and half on land. (B,L,D)
Day13/Guilin-Yangshuo-Guilin
Today's highlight is the cruise down the Li River, stretching 83km waterway from Guilin to Yangshuo, which is the masterpiece of Li River, decorating with rolling hills, steep cliffs, fantastic caves, leisurely boats and lined bamboos. The cruise will give you a chance to savor the lovely view of the area's extraordinary limestone peaks. The cruise ends in Yangshuo. Visit local markets. Drive back to Guilin. (B,L,D)
Day14/Return from Guilin
Transfer to the airport and board on your homebound flight. TOURS ENDS! (B)
