Lotus Hill Park
Located in the north of the new city center in the Futian district, the hill is named because of its shape (like a lotus).
Standing atop the hill is a 6-metre statue of Deng Xiaoping, the late Chinese paramount leader without whom Shenzhen would still be a small fishing village.

The Lotus Hill is neither precipitous nor high, only 532 meters above sea level, but one can still feel its height on the top of the hill. Standing on the marble platform on the hilltop, leaning on the granite balustrade and looking down at the row upon row of buildings in the nearby center of Futian district, one can have the infinite interest of the high sky and open space.

Near Lotus Hill is a large grass field for people to enjoy themselves during weekends, such as flying kites, dancing, or holding events. There is also an art gallery nearby. It's very convenient to reach Lotus Hill Park as there are many buses, as well as a subway, that passes through.
