Shanghai World Financial Center
The Shanghai World Financial Center is a city within the city, surrounded by natural beauty at ground level. Soaring high into the sky. Here there is always something fresh and exciting to discover, in a place that is both safe and enjoyable. Here people meet, lively encounters generate economic energy; new forms of cultural activity appear.
In addition to intelligent office space that offers cutting-edge specifications and functionality, the Shanghai World Financial Center is also a mixed-use complex that features a five-star luxury hotel, sophisticated urban retail space, numerous tenant amenities, conference space, an open "green" area, and an observatory on the 94th through 100th floors. When completed in early 2008, the Shanghai World Financial Center will soar some 492 meters and stand as not only a symbol of 21st century Shanghai but also of Asia's emergence on the global financial scene.
SWFC deploys advanced technologies to help create a safe, comfortable office building. A carefully zoned air- conditioning system minimizes energy consumption, while use of multi-layered glass in the curtain wall enhances HVAC effectiveness. Both features help make the most efficient use of energy and other natural resources.
Soaring 474 meters above the ground, the 100th floor observation deck provides a spectacular view of downtown
Shanghai and the Huangpu River below. And from the observation bridge on the 97th floor, visitors will feel as if they are floating in midair. The 94th floor of the observatory offers a breathtaking backdrop for exhibitions and events.
The SWFC is a magnet in every sense of the term. Its magnetism attracts leaders dedicated to growth and change, professionals whose activities exert a powerful influence worldwide. Besides information and finance, economic and cultural flows, East and West, knowledge and possibility are all drawn to this center where they interact and give rise to new currents that energize our times. Here option leaders gather, exchange knowledge and insight, and create new forms of culture, exerting a powerful influence that affects events both near and far.
