Bajiaozhai National Forest Park
As a bright pearl among the National Forest Parks in China, Guilin Zijiang River--Bajiaozhai National Forest Park is located at the foot of Yuecheng Mountains in Ziyuan County, the northeast Guangxi province, 107km away from Guilin. More and more tourists are attracted each year by its typical landform, romantic drifting down Zijiang river and rich entertainments of nationalities.
Bajiaozhai Mountain is 75 meters long from north to south and 45 meters wide from east to west, the top of the peak covers 3,375 square meters. High in the clouds, the towering peak looks like the head and the tail of a dragon. The 7 peaks around look like horns of beasts, hence the name of Bajiaozhai. Zijiang and Bajiaozhai are in typical red sandstone formation. Bajiaozhai has become a national forest park.
It is a park with many wonderful scenic spots, characteristic of Danxia landform, and the shapes and images we find here are very peculiar. The park covers an area of more than 800 square kilometers and is a choice place for you to enjoy hundreds of viewable scenes, drift along a creek, venture into the unknown, search for beautiful scenery, and spend a summer holiday.
The Forest Park consists of three scenery areas, Zijiang river, Bajiaozhai and Baoding waterfall, More than three hundred places of historic interest and scenic beauty are distributed in the Park, which being praised by the geologist, horticulturist and tourism experts as a high grade's national ornamental park and an unique place in the world.
 With the quite perfect transportation and communication facilities, a complete services including good restaurant, well accommodated hotel, amusement and playing are available in the Park. The fantastic mountains and beautiful water resources in Ziyuan await the tourists from all directions.
