Tianjin is one of the four municipalities in China. Tianjin is skirted by the Bohai Sea to the east and bounded by the Yanshan Mountains to the north. It lies 120 kilometers to the southeast of Beijing.
Tianjin is the door of Beijing and a state – listed famous cultural and historical city. It is also an important industrial base and an economic center with the largest artificial seaport for foreign trade and cruise ships in North China. With the policy of reform and opening-up to the outside world great achievements have been made on the urban construction and tourism.
Tianjin has 4 tourist zones and 10 grand views. The tourist zones include the City Centre Shopping Tourist Zone with different styles architecture of foreign countries and historic outlook; the Sea – Shore Tourist Resort Zone with ports and islands as its characteristics; the Jixian County Tourist Zone composed by the Great Wall at Huangya Pass, Dule Temple and Panshan. Besides the Yangcun Creation Zone and Xiping Folkways Tourist Zone.
The 10 Grand Views include Magnificent Jibei Pass, Dagu Sea Mouth, Dule Morning Sunlight, Sanpan Evening Rain, the Rosy Clouds over the Haihe River, Floating Green in the Dragon Pool, the Colored Silk in the Ring, Seeking the Trace at Native Place (the Old Cultural Street at Nankai District), Drunk Moon over Twin Cities (Nanshi Food Street and Tourist Street), and the Spiral Clouds over Yingta Pagoda.
In the city there are many old places concerning the noted persons. The special products including the Yangliuqing Year Pictures, the Nirenzhang Colored Sculpture, and Goubuli Steamed Bun with Meat Stuffing are well known at home and abroad.
