Xining       Qinghai Province


Xining is the capital of Qinghai Province, it is the political, economic, scientific,
technological, cultural and traffic center of Qinghai Province. lies at the junction of the
Lanzhou-Qinghai and the Qinghai-Tibet railway with good transportation.

As the important hinge between the center plains and the western part of China in ancient
time, Xining was the most common passing channel of the famous Silk Road.
There are about 37 nationalities living here, including Han, Hui, Tu and Tibetan, every
ethnic group has their own traditions and customs.

Enjoying a good location surrounded by high mountains, the city has a relatively
comfortable climate with neither bone-chilling winter nor sweltering summer and the

of 4583 square kilometers, it is definitely of exquisite beauty. The Ta’er Lamasery, it was built in the Ming Dynasty, and it is a large
complex of dozens of halls and towers on a mountainside in both Tibetan and Han architectural styles.
