Macao
“Macao” is a Portuguese name for Aomen, the Portuguese ruled here nearly 400 years,
on December 20,1999, Macao return to the People’s Republic of China as a special
administrative region.
Macao’s tourist features include various kinds of gambling, the Sino-Western cultural
and historic sites and local customs.
Known as “Oriental Las Vegas”, Macao is one of the three noted gambling cities, gambling industry has already become an important feature of Macau’s economy. There are many luxurious hotels housing various gambling casinos and these venues are packed with people from all over the world when the night comes.
You can find a variety of both Oriental and Western cultural and historical places of interest in Macao, the old buildings there are either European baroque or traditional Chinese in style.
