We will be traveling through history, unraveling and deciphering the intricate mix and exchange of cultures over long periods of time. |

1 Arrive Beijing |
Arrive Beijing,
the capital of the People's Republic of China.
Meet your guide upon arrival and transfer to your comfortable hotel.

2 Beijing |
Begin
the day with a visit to Tiananmen Square, the world's largest.
Then, move on to the Imperial Palace, also known as the "Forbidden
City" that symbolizes the imperial and traditional China.
In the afternoon, visit the enchanting Summer Palace, one of
China's largest and best-preserved imperial gardens. A Peking Duck
Dinner concludes your first full day activities in China.

3 Beijing |
Take
an excursion to the Great Wall, symbol of Chinese civilization.
Stop by Shenlu (Spirit Road) on your way back. Return to the
city after lunch visit Temple of Heaven, the place where emperors
of Ming and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed
for peace and harvest. Evening is free. (B-L) |

4 Beijing-Urumqi |
Fly
to Urumqi, capital
of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Upon arrival in the afternoon,
stop by the Xinjiang Museum to view the incredible mummies
from over 2,000 years ago. Check in Hotel.

5 Urumqi-Kashgar |
Today's
highlight is the excursion to the beautiful Heavenly Lake and
the Nanshan pasture. You will also have the opportunity to
visit the Yurt homes of the local Kazakh people. Fly to China's
western-most city - Kashgar, and check in Hotel in the evening. (B-L-D) |

6 Kashgar |
You
are here for the Sunday Bazaar, which is believed to be the
largest outdoor market. Also pay a visit to Id Kah Mosque, then stop
at the Tomb of Yusup Hazi Hajup, a great Uygur poet and philosopher
in the middle ages. (B-L-D) |

7 Kashgar-Urumqi |
Morning
is free for your own exploration. In the afternoon, visit the Tomb
of Abakh Hoja, a famous concubine of Qing Emperor. Tour the grounds
of Hannoyi Ruins and the Moer Pagoda. Fly back to Urumqi in the evening.
Check in Hotel again.

8 Urumqi-Turpan |
Travel
to Turpan by motor coach. Turpan is a Uygur town set in a large oasis
surrounded by desert and dry mountains. The ancient Jiaohe City was built on a strategic high ground and now the remains of many structures
are still standing. You will stay at Hotel for the night. (B-L-D) |

9 Turpan |
Today's
activities take you to Emin Minaret and the mysterious Gaochang
ruins, which reveals traces of a prosperous ancient trading center
and military stronghold. Later stop by the Astana Tombs, the
burial ground for the nobles of ancient kingdoms, and the Beziklik
Caves. Late afternoon and evening are free for your own exploration.

10 Turpan-Dunhuang |
Turpan
is famous throughout China for its big and sweet grapes. The visit to the Grape Valley and the
homes of Uygur farmers is an extraordinary experience. Take an overnight
train ride to Dunhuang.

11 Dunhuang |
Arrive
at Liuyuan early morning. You are met and transferred to Dunhuang and check in Hotel for some rest. Visit the legendary White Horse Pagoda, Crescent
Spring Lake, and characteristics Singing Sand Dunes of
the Gobi Desert. (L-D) |

12 Dunhuang-Xi'an |
Spend
the whole morning exploring the fascinating Buddhist art at the Mogao Caves, carved on a cliff facing the desert. Fly to Xi'an in the afternoon and check into the Hotel.

Climb up the massive City Walls of Xi'an to get a feeling of China's ancient capital before going to visit
the extraordinary terracotta warriors of China's first Emperor,
Qin Shihuang. After lunch, visit the Shaanxi History Museum,
one of the best in China.

14 Xi'an-Shanghai |
Stop
by the on-going Yangling Archaeological Dig to view some fascinating
discoveries of the Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD). Fly to beautiful Shanghai and visit the Bund and Yuyuan Garden upon arrival. Enjoy an
exciting acrobatic show tonight. You will stay at Hotel for two nights. (B-L) |

15 Shanghai |
Visit
the marvelous Shanghai Museum, whose galleries contain world-class
collections of ancient arts and artifacts. Wander around the former French Concession to see how local people spend their leisure
time. You will have some free time in the afternoon to explore the

Transfer
to the airport and board your homebound flight. Arrive in your country
