Arrive in Xi’an, meet your guide at the airport and be transferred to the hotel (D)

Full day’s excursion is to the unparalleled highlight Terracotta Warriors and Horses at the Tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor in China. Added highlights are a visit to the Huaqing Hot Spring - a former resort area especially for the emperors and the royal family and a visit to Banpo Village - the remains of a Neolithic village dating back to 6,000 years. If time permits, visit a factory where copies of Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses are made. With the introduction of the workman there, you may try to use clay and mould to make the copies of Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses yourself. Enjoy a characteristic dumpling dinner at a local restaurant. (B-L-D)

After breakfast, drive to visit Qianling Tomb, situated on Liangshan Hill to the north of Qianxian County, which is a joint tomb of Tang Emperor Gaozong (Li Zhi) and Empress Wu Zetian, the only Empress in Chinese history. The tomb is of a very strong and secure construction and is notable as the only mausoleum to escape the unwelcome attention of tomb robbers. Then, move on to visit to Famen Temple, renowned for storing the veritable Finger Bone of the Sakyamuni Buddha. Famen Temple was established in the Eastern Han Dynasty (25--220), for carrying forward Buddhism. The most representative structures in the temple are the Famen Temple Pagoda and Famen Temple Museum.
