Hotel guest rooms are usually divided into two kinds: a room ('kefang' in Chinese) and a suite ('taojian' in Chinese).
Rooms:
Rooms usually contain a shower/bath and toilet. The specific room types are:
1) Single Room - a room with a single bed which designed for one person.
2) Double Room - a room containing one double bed (one king-size or queen-size bed).
3) Twin Room - a room with two single beds.
4) Triple Room - a room containing three single beds or a standard room with an additional single bed.
5) Superior Room – better than Standard Room, generally speaking, divided into two types, a double bed or two single beds.
6) Deluxe Room – bigger room than Superior one, with two single beds or one double bed. Decoration and facilities are better than in Superior Room; price is higher.
7) Executive Standard Room – room usually with one double bed. One or several floors in a star-rated hotel are taken as executive room floor. A business center and coffee bar are included.
8) Business Standard Room – room with two single beds or one double bed. Usually computer secretarial services and other facilities for office work are included.
Suites:
Usually located on the higher floors, a suite is subdivided into several types as follows:
1) Standard Suite - also named junior suite or family suite. It contains a living room, a bedroom, a shower/bath, a toilet, and comfortable furniture.
2) Deluxe Suite - usually bigger in room size and is newer in room facilities than a Standard Suite.
3) Executive Suite - usually contains a spacious bedroom with one king-size bed, an elegant living room, and a large bathroom with additional facilities such as a whirlpool bath and an additional toilet. Its area is usually twice as large as a Standard Suite.
4) Presidential Suite - usually has seven or eight rooms, including the president's bedroom, first-lady's bedroom, a shower/bath, two toilets, a parlor, boardroom, guard's station, study, kitchenette, a dining room, and a room for receiving retinue. Usually, it is the best accommodation in a hotel.
