In Fujian province there are 4 state – level scenic zones including Mt. Wuyi, Mt. Qingyuan at Quanzhou, Gulang Islet at Xiamen(Amoy), and Mt. Taimu at Fuding; 2 state – listed tourist vacational zones including Mt. Wuyi and Meizhou Island at Putian; 19 state key relics protection units, such as Anping Bridge; 3 stated – lever noted cultural and historic cities including Quanzhou, Fuzhou, and Zhangzhou; 14 China’s key Buddhist temples. There is “one zone, one mountain and one route”. One zone is the South Fujian Golden Triangle Zone including Xiamen, Quanzhou, and Zhangzhou. This is a well – known Home of the Overseas Chinese. One mountain is Mt. Wuyi Danxia Landform. One route is the Mt. Wuyi – to – Golden Triangle Route with Fuzhou as its center. The climate of the province is mild. The hot springs are rich. It is full of famous mountains and beautiful rivers. The local cultural activities include the puppet show, the dress and personal adornment of the Hui ladies, the folk custom of She ethnic group, and the homage – paying to Mazu.

The famous historical and cultural city of Fuzhou, which was designated as an open city in 1979, is the capital of Fujian Province, where passenger transportation by waterway, highway or airway is rather convenient. Fuzhou's hot springs are known throughout China, and so is its jasmine tea. Major tourist attractions: Gushan Mountain, West Lake, Majiang River, Three mountains and Twopagodas. Gushan Mountain in the eastern suburb of Fuzhou is the site of one of Fuzhou's five major Ch'an temples, Yongquan Temple, whose magnificent buildings dating back to the Qing are enshrined with written and stone-inscribed texts of Buddhist sutras.
