Mt. Huangshan in Anhui province is listed in the world natural heritage list and the cultural heritage list. The province has 5 stateClisted scenic zones, 3 stateClisted famous cultural and historic cities, and manyCstate listed key relics protection units. It includes Mt. HuangshanTaiping LakeMt. Jiuhua Tourist Route, the Old Civil Residence and Ethnic Custom of Tunzxi, Yixian, Shexian Tourist Route, and Huizhou Culture Tourist Route, Mt. Huangshan is most unique among the Chinas mountains. Mt. Jiuhua is one of the four well-known Buddhist mountains. Taiping Lake is the largest man-made lake in the province. Yixian is admired as Chinas Civil Residence Museum. Mt. Tianzhu had been entitled the South Peak for hundreds of years. Mt. Langya is noted for a thousand years because of the Note on Zuiweng Pavilion. Mt. Qiyun is one of the four well-known Taoist Mountains. There are lots of historic sites in the North of Anhui area. For example, Bozhou and Fengyang are the native places of Caocao and Zhu Yuanzhang separately, and Shouxian is the former capital of the State of Chu. The important fesitivals include Bangbu Huagu Lantern Festival, Ma anshan International Poem C Reciting Party, and the International Mt. Huangshan Festival.

Capital: Hefei
Hefei, capital of Anhui Province, was a battlefield of the Three Kingdoms Period, hometown of the upright Song official Bao Zheng, and a bone of contention among warring strategists. Surrounded by wooded mountains and tucked away under the shadows of green trees, Hefei is also a garden city with a pleasant environment. Major attractions: the temple and tomb of Bao Zheng, the battlefield at Xiaoyaojin, Jiaonu (Archery Drilling) Terrace, Xinghua (Apricot Flower) Park, and Chaohu Amusement Park-on-the-Water.
